UK Foo Fighters
I wasn’t sure what to expect this evening, I am a big fan of the Foo Fighters but personally I have never been interested in any tribute bands, why pay money to see someone try and be someone else, but I was keen to be proven wrong. UK Foo Fighters did not disappoint!!
On Saturday night the world-famous tribute band, ‘UK Foo Fighters’ came to Norwich in our amazing Waterfront venue. The evening consisted of an incredible trip through 25 years on the legendary band Foo Fighters music. Over the last 12 years, the UK Foo Fighters have featured in Classic Rock, Rolling Stone, Kerrang and many more magazines. They have built a high reputation and even Dave Grohl has praised the band; “That was awesome!” Dave Grohl (Lead singer – Foo Fighters).

Wow, what an incredible evening. I have been to the Waterfront many times either for Propaganda or Meltdown nights, or for gigs but I have never seen the downstairs dance floor so full. So many people had come out to see the UK Foo Fighters, of all ages too. There was such a wide range of people in the crowd, and it just gave an incredible atmosphere for the night. At 7:30pm, the stage lights filled the room, and we were ready for our first song of the night Bridge Burning. Everyone in the room was dancing, head banging and singing their hearts out. Although all the infamous Foo Fighters songs were sung over the evening such as The Predator and All My Life, it was the last song that blew the room away, Everlong. What a performance to end the amazing night, the crowd went wild.
From viewing I could see how close the band were, they are a tight knit group which is great to see. The evening seemed extra special though, as earlier this year we had the sad news that Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins had passed away, it truly felt like there was more love in the room from the crowd though.
The UK Foo Fighters have incredible vocals and musical talent, and you could easily believe they were the real thing. The band did a little shout out to someone in the crowd, which I found so sweet. Overall, I was so impressed with the night and definitely wouldn’t turn down a tribute band down again.

There was very little messing about, charging through song after song, so that when the band departed after an hour, having knocked seven bells out of the drumkit, it felt like only half that time had passed.
