Chessboxing
Chessboxing are you sure ....yep
Enjoy a festival of chess and boxing in sunny North Norfolk in 2024:
Chessboxing adds the thrills and spills of speed chess to the strategic and tactical challenges of traditional boxing, creating a mind-bending hybrid sport that must be seen to be fully appreciated. The ultimate battle of brain and brawn. Two opponents play a round of speed chess followed by a round of boxing, with one minute in between rounds. They continue to alternate between the two with the chess game becoming ever more challenging as the physical battle takes its toll. The winner is decided by checkmate or knockout.
Chessboxing has been described as both nerd-fighting and the ultimate sporting challenge of the 21st Century, this summer it is coming to sunny Norfolk. Guest will be welcomed onto Worstead Estate for a weekend of chessboxing and fun. We'll have your usual serving of chessboxing bouts in the farm-style hay bale auditorium. During the day you'll be able to enjoy live music, chess tournaments, boxercise and other chessboxing activities, as well as tours of Wildcraft brewery which is on site.
Tickets include free parking. Camping passes are available to purchase.
Grandmaster Simon Williams will be headlining - one of the world's top chess players in a winner-take-all match up with WCBA British Heavyweight Title holder Matthew ‘The Minotaur’ Coldwell:

Ray O'Leary - Laughter? I Hardly Know Her
Ray O'Leary, is fair to say, has a distinctive way about him. Wild, curly hair. Beer belly out and proud. A face only a mother could love. And that suit. It's a look that says he knows exactly what he’s doing and that he does it very well.

Dear England
This play about football was not really about football at all. It was a play about male bonding, humanity, mutual respect, facing your demons, and about meeting with triumph and disaster, and treating those two impostors just the same.
The Anglia Comedy All Stars
On another night, any one of the line-up could have reasonably headlined a comedy night — Ed Gamble, Rachel Parris, and Paul Sinha on the same bill felt almost like overkill. All Stars indeed.
