Alec Baldwin stars as the big baby in the expensive suit (no, he’s not pretending to be Donald Trump again, this time it’s an actual baby) in Dreamworks latest animated outing. A briefcase-carrying baby pairs up with his seven-year old brother to stop puppies from over taking babies as the cutest thing on the planet. How’s that for a whole load of things that shit themselves?
12th April – Fast and Furious 8
Yes, unbelievably they’re back. Well, most of them are. And this time one of the goodies (the bald frowny one) is a baddy, and one of the baddies (the other bald frowny one) is a goodie. This time… oh, who fucking cares? It goes like this – VROOM, VROOOOM, VROOOOOOM!! BANG, BANG, BANG – “GET THE… THING”. KAPPOW!! Fucking idiots.
21st April – The Belko Experiment
James Gunn’s other movie out this month is a psychological horror about a corporate building full of office schmucks who get locked in and all turn on each other as they are forced to play a game of kill-or-be-killed. Sounds just like when our office brings out the new holiday rota.
30th April - Mad Max: Black and Chrome
Cinema City are showing Fury Road like you’ve never seen it before, in (as the name would suggest) a black and chrome cut that George Miller himself says is the best way to watch the movie. Stripped back, raw, and cool as fuck. Definitely one for fans of the wasteland. Oh what a day!

I know I've said it before, but it can't be understated how rare it is to see a brave new fledgling sitcom appear - never mind locally! I have to mention that the soundtrack to the episode was entirely original, which is unbelievably impressive for a project such as this. The leaflet I was given prior to the screening said that the pilot promised to be ‘bold, vibrant and entertaining’ - and that's absolutely what it is. That sums it up pretty well. There's a lot to be proud of here. I can't wait to say ‘I knew them when' years down the line.
