Pay What You Can. Booking is essential. Join Marian Saunders and Maria Pavledis for a playful, interactive session exploring collaboration as creative practice. Building on their collaborative multimedia performances as part of the AETHER Collective, Marian and Maria invite you to discover how the whole becomes greater than the sum of its parts.
This hands-on workshop uses a variety of digital and analogue equipment to help you create together something you couldn’t make alone. Collaboration takes us to surprising places, revealing creative possibilities beyond our individual practices. Bring yourself and whatever sparks your creativity: a visual art practice, a musical instrument, a piece of writing, or simply curiosity.
No experience necessary—just a willingness to play, experiment, and see where collective creativity leads. Come along to play together and discover what emerges. Maria Pavledis Maria’s work explores the sensory and emotional interconnections and interdependence between humans and other animals, and a wider sense of patterns and forms in nature.
Images are made using smoke to create an image. The smoke is used as a co – creative medium its flow forms and patterns are used to build an image and then worked into. It is a technique linked to both surrealist ideas of accessing the unconscious and, more widely, smoke has a ritual and magical significance. Recent work has seen collaboration and dialogue with other artists becoming a central part of her practise through performance, curation and publication. Fusing her hand-made analogue imagery with digital real-time technologies, her visuals respond to sound, space and audience in an evolving collage of colour, shape and light.
